When creating a file that
you will be sending us please
follow the following guidelines.
Create your new document in
CMYK mode. If you haven't already
started in CMYK you may change
this by: File -> Document
Color Mode -> CMYK Color.
For 1 and 2 color printing:
All colors must be selected
from your pantone swatch panel
which can be found by:
Window -> Swatch Library
-> PANTONE Solid Uncoated.
Other pantone swatches may be
used, this is just want we usually
set up our files with.
For 4 color printing:
Colors for everything must
in in CMYK. Pictures should
be converted before being placed
into the program. This can be
done Photoshop.
All files must be sent with
fonts outlined. You do this
by selecting everything in the
document then hitting Ctrl+Shift+O
on your keyboard. DO NOT make
the mistake of saving over your
editable file with the outlined
one.
If your document bleeds, pull
your bleeds 1/8 of an inch from
the edge of your document. Please
do not put any text or picture
edges within the last 1/8 of
an inch of the cut line, this
way it won't run the risk of
getting cut off. To make crop
marks draw a box the size of
your art on the page (this is
your cutline) then with the
new box selected go to Object
-> Crop Marks -> Make
Save your document and you
can send via email to our graphics
department or your service representative.
