When creating a file that
you will be sending us please
follow the following guidelines.
For 1 and 2 color printing:
All colors should be Pantone
colors which can be added to
your swatch panel by the following:
Open your swatch panel ->
Click the circle in the upper
left-hand corner with an arrow
in it for a menu -> Click
New Color Swatch -> Change
the Color Mode drop down box
to show one of your Pantone
options Preferably Pantone Solid
Uncoated -> Scroll through
the colors to find the color
you want to add and highlight
it -> click ok or you can
ad dmore by just click "add"
so it will not close the window.
For 4 color printing:
Colors for everything must
in in CMYK. Colors can be added
the same way as above, with
the exception that you select
CMYK in the Color Mode box.
Pictures should be converted
before being placed into the
program. This can be done Photoshop.
A problem with using InDesign
is that no file are embedded
into the document you must package
the file to send it to us. You
package your file by doing the
following File -> Package
-> File in any info you wish
to include and hit Continue
-> Navigate to the location
you want the folder saved and
select a name -> Click Package
-> Click OK if a font alert
pops up. You now have a folder
with everything you need to
send us. It will be easiest
to send if you zip the folder
using a program such as winzip.
If your document bleeds, pull
your bleeds 1/8 of an inch from
the edge of your document. Please
do not put any text or picture
edges within the last 1/8 of
an inch of the cut line, this
way it won't run the risk of
getting cut off.
Save your document and you
can send via email to our graphics
department or your service representative.
